Spending time in nature

By: Aileen Baxter

As the weather improves, the days get longer and warmer let’s take some time this week to go out into nature.

Every day see if you can take a moment, go outside, and pick up something you find in nature. This might be a flower, a leaf, a stick, it can be anything. See if you can choose a new object every day.

Study the item thoroughly for 5 mins. Notice the colour, and how the colour changes as you move the object. Notice the patterns, the intricacies, any imperfections.

Taking time to stop for a moment brings you into the present moment and helps you appreciate the complexity and beauty of nature.
