Going deeper

By: Aileen Baxter

Can you put aside time each day for a week to sit and do this exercise. We are going to focus on the cause and effect of what we do.

Choose a simple activity, perhaps making a cup of tea or typing a text message. Think about each moment of that activity. Your brain draws on knowledge of the keyboard, your brain thinks about what you want to say, your fingers move over the letters creating words, the words appear on the screen. There is so much going on to type this sentence.

Spend time looking beyond the surface and delve into the intricacies of everyday moments. Be fully present and see what comes up for you.
